The model refused the face

Updated 2026-09-27

Veo and Gemini refuse photos of realistic people. Switch to Kling or Seedance, or film from a description.

Some video engines run a face filter that refuses photos of real-looking people, including AI creators that look real, and certainly your own photo.

What to do
  • Retry on Kling 3 Omni. The refusal offers a one-click retry. Kling accepts realistic faces and opens on the composed shot.
  • Describe the creator instead. On a strict engine, switch on Describe the creator: the take is filmed from the creator's written description with no photo sent. The face is close, not identical, and can drift between takes.
  • Scenes on strict engines always describe the cast.
Why it happens

The filter is the engine's, not ours. The credits for a refused take are refunded.
